Estate Bequest

Estate Bequest

Ms. Margaret Estelle Vorous came to ETSU as a graduate student, earning her second Master's degree in Library Science/Media Services in August 1988. In honor of her distinguished teaching career and other accolades, she has been recognized by ETSU as one of its Outstanding Alumna. Despite living in Virginia during her coursework and traveling an hour and a half to Johnson City for classes, Ms. Marg maintained a 4.0 and loved everything about ETSU from the "challenging subject matter to the greatest professors ever!"

While Ms. Marg looks back very fondly on her time at ETSU, it was the professors that really made an impact. "With such a wonderful program, my desire was to honor the two professors who made it happen for me at ETSU – Dr. Rudy Miller and the late Dr. Floyd Edwards. The scholarship is named for them. What better way to show my appreciation!"

ETSU will receive half of Ms. Marg's estate upon her passing. This gift allows her to continue to enjoy the full benefit of her assets while ensuring a valuable future for ETSU and its students!
